The West Side Homeboys started in Aurora, IL in the year 1994.  They were formed by Insane Deuce members that had recently left Deuce.  The Westside Homeboys founder was Josie Ramos, Jaime Perez, Is-man, Gustone, Chero,
Havy, Maro, and Frogg aka Atrhuro...The First Shorties where Leo Navar aka
Lee-Dogg, La baron, Bibi Riveria, Antoine Johnson, Lil A aka Angle Solis, Fernando Gonzalez, and Sleepy.  Other promanent members were Barbs Capone and Israel AKA Is-man.  The West Side Homeboys were Folks, but they were not honored into the book of Folks, so even though they flagged Folks, they were not officially folks.  In 1995 Ambrose started to open up shop in Aurora near Westside Homeboy neighborhood and the two gangs became cool with each other.  Soon their was heavy pressure by the Folk Nation for the Westside Homeboys to become Folks; however, other nations would not honor the Westside Homeboys into the Folk nation as they were, instead they had to flip to a gang that was already folks.  The Westside homeboys then opted to join up with Ambrose in order to be Folks, so under the guidance of Josie Ramos they became Aurora Ambrose on the corner of New York and Anderson.  Because of the Westside Homeboys flipping it caused Ambrose to be much larger in number.  One Westside Homeboy symbol was a cross, so Aurora Ambrose put a cross in the Ambrose Knight helmet when they tagged in order to honor the Westside Homeboy past. Josie Ramos, the main founder of Westside Homeboys was gunned down by Latin Kings in 1995 or 1996.
