The Traveling Vice Lords started in about the early 1970s on the corner of Central and Jackson and also Flourney and California. on Chicago’s west side.  They were founded by NEAL"KING NEAL" WALLACE.  They were known as simply the Travelers until they joined the Vice Lord nation in the early 70s.  After they joined Vice Lord nation in the early 70s they flipped several Unknown Vice Lords making them into Traveling Vice Lords on California street.  In 1983 NEAL"KING NEAL" WALLACE, the TVL founder died. The Travelers battled viciously against their arch enemies, the Gangsters Disciples and the Black Disciples who were/are Folk nation gangs.  In the summer of 1991 the TVLs reputation was even further recognized with their legendary battles with the GDs and BDs, they fought GDs and BDs viciously that resulted in a lot of shootings that VLs inflicted on GDs and BDs.  In the year 1995 several high ranking TVLs were locked up including:  ANDREW "BAY-BAY" PATTERSON, TYRONE "SLICK TY" WILLIAMS, ANDRE "MOOSEHEAD" WILLIAMS, TERRY "T-FLY" YOUNG, ANTHONY "POOH BEAR" PRINCE, and about 50 other high ranking members. In the late 1990s a gang called the LATIN ROYALS started in Horner Park.  The Latin Royals soon grew in large numbers and it angered the GDs who declared war on the LRs.  At the same time the GDs also were battling the TVLs heavily as well.  The war soon escalated and became very bloody which made the cops block off the street corners around where the war was going on, then the media got attention of the war and it was on the news.  Soon after the Latin Royals went extinct while the TVLs lived on with an even more recognized reputation than ever.  In recent years mainly starting in about 1991, the TVLs have engaged in many interalliance wars with other People Nation gangs including other Vice Lord factions on the West side.  The TVLs were a very strong and powerful presence in the Henry Horner homes until they were torn down.
