The Party Players first formed on Chicago's near South side, on the corner of 24th and Wasthtenaw in the late 1970s.  Also in the late 70's they set up in the Back of the Yards community on the South side of Chicago.  When they first formed the were just a crew that hung out and partied hence how they got their name the Party Players. During the early 1980s the Saints began to spread rapidly in the Back of the Yards community and they began to pick fights with the Party Players, this caused the Party Players to become a gangbanging crew that chose not to be People of Folk; however, they found common ground with the Two Sixs around the neighborhood.  Two Sixs were also having lots of feuds with the Saints.  The Two Sixs recognized the plight of the Party Players and decided to bang with the Party Players side by side against the Saints.  The two gangs became such good friends that the Party Players adopted the bunny with the bent ear as one of their symbols which is a Two Six gang sign.  By the late 1980s the Two Sixs began to leave Party Player areas, thus making the two gangs not as tight as before.  In the year 1988 the Party Players found a new ally, the Latin Kings.  In the year 1988 the Party Players joined the People nation.  Later on Party Players spread to the Marquette Park neighborhood which is now their main headquarters.
