19-Year-Old Shot To Death In South Shore

(STNG) CHICAGO A 19-year-old man was shot to death in an apparent gang-related shooting on the South Side's South Shore neighborhood Saturday night.

The man was shot about 10:50 p.m. Saturday at the 2000 block of E. 70th St., according to police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer.

The victim was walking down the street when he was approached by someone who asked him if he was a "four," according to a report from the police First Deputy Superintendent's office.

When the victim answered, "no," he was shot in the head, according to the deputy's report.

The man, identified as Andrew Junious, of 6320 S. Bell Ave., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:40 p.m.

Calumet Area detectives are investigating.
