Gunman kills gang leader, police say (Chicago, IL):

Chicago police are investigating a shooting in a West Side barbershop that left a 30-year-old Latin King leader dead. The barbershop is located in an area controlled by the Vice Lords, a rival gang. Another man in the barbershop, who was shot in the foot, was able to provide police with details of the suspect. The gunman then fled the barbershop and continued shooting as he ran through a small parking lot. Another man was shot and wounded. Tactical units were deployed in areas where police thought there could be retaliation.
